Macbook

I'm sitting in my little office in the apartment. It's cozy here, all my treasures are around me, it's quiet and I have a big mug of tea.

Last night John and I made our first big investment purchase, we bought me a new laptop! Mine died about two months ago and I've been working off John's computer downstairs. John also has a very old computer that can't read the script on twitter and can't play videos on Youtube and a host of other things that make it difficult to work with.

John has been working so hard. So much overtime. I think he's had something like 5 days off since he started Jan. 4. Now is the time to start reaping the rewards. We heard from a friend that Macbooks were on sale ($200 instant rebate) so last night we bought mine.

OMG. I can't believe how great it is to have a new computer that's fast and that works! Before I was twittering by hand, writing them out in word and cutting and pasting. My computer couldn't handle Hootsuite or Tweetdeck so I was managing each account by hand. I can't believe how fast it all is now! Hootsuite is awesome.

My old computer also didn't run well in my office. My poor office has been sitting closed off like a room in Flowers in the Attic since we moved in June.

Now I'm sitting in my pretty office. I have to clean it and get it up to par, but it's so great back here. Official. I can leave things here, make piles...

We're getting John a new computer later this week then it's on to our debt. We're gonna pee in it's mouth. That's what John says. I like it.

Nice to have the tools I need to get the job done. That's for sure. It makes all the difference in the world.
