Review

Wow, I only read 29 books in 2008, I'm slipping. That's terrible. This will be rectified in 2009. You better believe it.

My last book of 2008 was a book recommended by a friend, it's called Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. And it was FABULOUS. Collins was a peer of Dickens, so it's got that old school feel to it (I love me some Dickens, so...) but it was one of the first true mystery novels, the friend who gave me the book told me that many of the archetypes of mystery novels came from this book specifically, Collins is a freaking master. This book is so intense, so fun, so rich in detail, it's a foolproof story that really truly had me guessing until the very end. I loved every single minute of it. I recommend it if you're looking for something to really sink your teeth into.

I saw Doubt, I really enjoyed it, until the final two sentences, what was up with that ending? Anyone want to get into it? I was furious. However, the acting by both Hoffman and Streep (and even that little Amy whatever was very good) was fantastic. I enjoyed every minute of it (almost every minute).

Today I go see Benjamin and his buttons, I know I"m not going to enjoy it, but I want to see exactly HOW much I'm not going to enjoy it. Hee.

ALL THE NEW TV STARTS SOON. I miss TV.
