Okay then...clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose

Alright, so yeah.

I got laid off.

And in that classic "got laid off" style, it's okay. It's totally okay. I knew it was coming, I work in a very money/lending/money kind of business and they just couldn't keep up with everything. They held on to a lot of us as long as they could, and I appreciate that. Everything happened in a tornado and it was just the perfect storm of ... time for me to go.

So..what next? Drinks. Yes.

And then...I don't know, its all so crazy.

But they gave me a generous severance as far as I'm concerned, we have a nice nest egg from the wedding, we're OK! I promise.

Now, now its time to figure out what comes next.

Let the mind settle, the heart settle a bit.

Then who knows what in the sam hell comes out of this one? There's a, albeit right now, small part of me that is really excited to see what comes next, what john and i pull out of this weird time, to see where this crazy path takes us.

Now. Burgers. And a drink.

As bad as it is, it sounds like they let you go in the best way possible. Many positive thoughts heading your way, dear. You guys will be great. :)

Just another door opening, when a window got slammed shut. I wish you both the best luck! Sending a virtual drink your way...

You will be okay, darling. Have a drink, have a burger, have a cuddle, and then start looking forward.

Being laid off in '02 was one of the best things that's ever happened to me. Otherwise, I might have been too scared to pack up and move to Chicago. I'm betting in the long run this is going to be great for you guys too. Especially since you can decide to leap off of whatever cliff you want, together.
