Chicagoisting

Okay, busy day. Still lots of paper flying around my head, paper that needs to be sorted into piles, signed by important people, sorted into more piles, then sent away to more important people. It sounds simple enough, but … its kinda not, so I need to go!

But! I wanted to reintroduce myself to you all, hello, my name is the Hixx and I write for Chicagoist! YAY! My first post as Oprah Watch author is officially up! Yes, I am again writing for Chicagoist and I couldn’t be more pleased. As much as I know I made the right decision for me at the time, the opportunity presented itself to write for them again and how can I turn that down? Write for the group that taught me how in the first place? Get to hang and play and talk to all those great people again? Fabulous! So, I will be doing a weekly contribution for Oprah Watch. Which really means, I get to tell John that I HAVE to watch Oprah tonight, it’s for my writing career. Hee. So I’m really glad to be back. I have a few goblins and ghosts of a hard time to get past, but that was one reason I really wanted to come back, to face some writing fears, to enjoy it, to be on Oprah watch, and to get back writing again. The book is on indefinite hiatus (honestly through no fault of my own, I’m ready to go to print right now for petes sakes), so it feels good to be back and writing and internetly hanging out with the Chicagoist peeps again. There’s also a new editor, with a fabulous name, and I’m looking forward to writing under her and getting some great advice about TV writing…so yay.

Okay, enough about me and my creative endeavors, I have things that need to be copied!
