Well I just want to personally thank Mr. Kanye West for providing me and the Stabes with a great song for dancing. Afterwards, someone mentioned they liked our dance and I told them it was really a dance of the ages, as I’m probably…10 years older than Stabes..said person mentioned that he thought she was 22, so um…yeah okay, 15 years older than Stabes, which blows my cottonpickin’, olde-timey mind. No wonder when she kept mentioning hip hop moves I never understood what she was saying, and when I kept comparing our moves to the “Charleston” and “west side story” she didn’t really understand me either. But our dance was 50/50, so collaborative and so fun.
Apparently, we were not loved by the Apes, but I was really happy with what we did…video is below for your viewing pleasure.
Last night was a blast all around; once again I am continually amazed by my castmates. I loved watching everyone dance last night, I highly recommend going to www.impresstheseapes.com and checking out all the dances. Especially the Kstud and Erin, who were so cute I almost cried a little Cabaret tear. Cutey pies.
Next week? Side show, like…circus side show.
I’ll just let that sit there.
Busy weekend coming up, mom’s best friend in town, tour tomorrow…working off a hangover today….oooh and our chairs come! OUR CHAIRS COME TOMORROW! This is very exciting news if you are me or John (HI BABY!).
Oh…and we also got our final assignment for Apes (less than two weeks away!) and that is simply….to impress the apes, in whatever way we see fit. I’m pretty sure I know what I’m doing and am quite excited to get started.
Now I just have to figure out which of my freaks I’m going to let out on stage next week.
