Shuffle Off

There’s a new salad blog post up today, damn NeoCon was in town and John and I didn’t even dare venture into the Mart this week. They’re gone now, so lucky us, we got to try another salad.

So tonight I will join the consumerist path to Mecca and will be purchasing myself an ipod shuffle. I need no video, no special things, just a nice little robot that will play the music I want to hear. Right now the MP3 player I have is so confusing, the songs on are ridiculous even for me. I have various Christmas songs I can’t seem to remove, some Scritti Politti that somehow appeared, and a version of Sweet Caroline that is so quiet, I can’t even hear it.

Help me Apple!

So okay, help me pick out some songs for my new ipod shuffle!

Here are a few hints:

1. When it comes to music, I am totally, completely and unabashedly middle-mind. I love Dave Matthews, Britney Spears and that crazy cheerleading Holla song.

2. I love 80’s music, so Madonna, the Go-Go’s, the Cure…

3. The music I want is almost exclusively for running, so a nice pretty “Time After Time” may be a song I like, but wouldn’t really be appropriate for my ipod shuffle.

4. If you would like to suggest a song that I don’t know, because I am mega-uncool, please feel free to do so, but kindly wonder if you think I’ll really enjoy the song by considering 1-3.

5. Just to help further you along, the first few songs I’m going to download are “Freedom” by Mr. George Michael and “That Voice Again” by Peter Gabriel.

Man, I really am pathetic.

IPOD!
