Bring it!

Welp, we finally made it again right? Friday afternoon, beautiful day….someone has a new ipod shuffle.

Did I just not ask right for song recommendations? Too specific maybe?

If you feel that there is a song I should have on my ipod, you should leave a comment.

YAY!

I love it though, I sat up way too late last night downloading songs mostly from my younger years, songs I loved I never thought I’d get to hear again. I’m REALLY moving forward technologically.

So…tomorrow is a big day for the Hixx. I have my final tour test. Once that is over, I still need to go out personally with another docent and have them watch me, then I have to go out yet again and get “Certified”. But as of tomorrow, I’m on my own, no more classes, no more direction, just time to go ahead and finish this puppy up! I’m really excited, I’m much more prepared than I was last week, and I feel *mostly* confident. I still have some timing issues and that kind of thing, but I’m certainly not going to fuck it all up and look like a butthead, so that’s a plus.

Then tomorrow afternoon I audition for a show. Yup. A real live audition. I haven’t auditioned for a show in…wait…maybe…no…was it?...no…okay, I haven’t auditioned for a show (besides a HORRIBLE MadTV audition, which doesn’t count) in probably….almost 10 years. With improv, you end up making friends and doing their shows and someone asks you to do something so you do it and you never really have to “audition” for something, unless its Second City or something like that.

Anyway, I’m prepared. I like what I’m doing for my audition, it pleases me and I’m excited to do it. I think its going to be great fun.

So tomorrow around 4:00PM I will be a mostly free bird for now. No horrible pressing matters, no one looking over my shoulder, the rest of it is all up to me.

So wish me luck on my two important things tomorrow, important, but really fun things. I’m looking forward to both of these pressing matters, and that makes me happy. Very often (in the past, I’m getting better at it) my pressing matters have not been so much fun. This time, I can’t wait to do them both.

Bring on the BOATS! BRING ON THE JUDGES!

Hixx is ready.

Here's a funny pic of my brother doing "the fountain dance".

Maybe you already downloaded these? But, definitely, Madonna - Like a Prayer; Kelly Clarkson - Since U Been Gone; James - Laid; Violent Femmes are usually good to run to ... I'm drawing a blank on other stuff right now ...

Hannah, you rule.

Odd new song..."Pure Love" by Colin Hay.
"Diner" by Martin Sexton.

And for running, "Faith" by GM, and you should always run with "Sledgehammer."
Load some John Williams, like the Olympic Fanfare or Raiders Theme.

Katey, this is why I love that you read this blog, you know exactly what kind of music I like, because its basically the same music I listened to in college, just...newer. That Christina/Dirty is going to rule.

And James, I actually have the olympic fanfare already from one of your other cd's you sent! It is inspiring, but its hard to see through my tears when I'm running.

Smuss...I'm going to check out each and every one of those songs.

Thanks everyone for all the awesome suggestions!
