I don't know what happened. I don't know if it was really all Les Miz or what, but I'm still on my epic kick and I'm LOVING it so much.

Sabrina and I have been listening to our Buddhist podcasts a lot (I think I'm going to my first meeting (What do I call it?) at a Buddhist Temple on Tuesday, we'll talk) and one thing my main lady, Tara Brach, talks about is "busy."

Busy has become a really important word. Especially in these days of exaggerating your coolness on FB, busy means everything. I'm so busy. Busy busy busy. Look how busy I am! See how busy I am?

Strange word that. That we want to be busy. That it's some kind of status. I've done it A BILLION times. If Chicago Elevated is busy, well, that means I'm successful. And I'm going to make sure I tell you how busy I am so you know that I know that I'm really successful.

Busy means nothing. It probably means you're in a trance and booting through your life concentrating on the "busy" more than anything.

Lately I've had a lot of work on my plate. But it's different so different. I have a lot of work to do. But I'm not "busy." The work I'm doing lately is coming straight from my heart. There's no "busy" about it, I'm just working. Does that make sense at all?

It takes a load off I'll tell you what.

I have 4 priorities right now. Chicago Elevated. Lost and Found. My creative project with Sabrina (which will be out in the open soon! We're rocking it SO HARD) and one more creative project that's all my own. Not the juggernaut of old, but a project this is new. I will talk about this this week, cause it's important.

And the work I need to do on these 4 things is not busy work, it's just work. I'm not running around like a chicken with no head, because I'm not putting that pressure on myself. I'm not trying for a "final prize" here, I'm working because I want to. Because my brain wants to share and get this out.

I'm so excited.
