Steel

I don't know, kids just aren't my thing. I've given tours in the past couple days to people with kids and although I think the pedway is very cool for kids, I just don't...quite understand how to deal with them. They always seem bored and no one wants to listen to an old lady tour guide talk about buildings.

But today on my tour I had a kid named "Steel." And he was awesome. He was maybe 8 or 9 and had a blast running through the pedway. He walked right up front with me most of the time and he was doing tons of bits, really funny kid. I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed showing him the pedway.

So there you go.

Okay! Book published by April 27th. Eek!

POP CULTURE UPDATES -

So it seems as my new hollywood boyfriend (let's just up and say it okay, Heath - I love you and I will always love you, but I must get on with my own life, just like Michelle....) Henry Cavill will be coming to Chicago to shoot Superman. This is very exciting news. I'm sure he'll want a tour of the pedway. Sure of it.

Survivor is awesome. Boston Rob is awesome. But for anyone who doubted by beloved Survivor after last season, this season should bring you back home for good. Granted, I think Redemption Island is DUMB and takes time away from the real game, this season has been fantastic. Yes, if Boston Rob got voted off it would be decidedly less fantastic, but it would still be good.

I have six episodes of Glee waiting for me.

I have not watched them.

I can't. I don't know what it is. They're just sitting there, staring me in the face.

The Office marriage proposal made me and my husband weep.

That mobbed show, where the guy proposed to his wife with a flash mob also made us cry, but we were alternately swearing at it as well. Who would force his wife to do that in a dress that was hanging off her that she had to put on over her other clothes? So weird.

We have The Killing taped, but haven't watched.

I don't care what you all say, Rod/Paul Stewart on Idol is adorable. Sure, he's weird, but he's cute as a lil button.

That's about it. What you guys got?

Meatloaf going CRAZY on the Celebrity Apprentice was so awesome that we watched that segment three times. ;)

Re: kids on your tours
I get what you're saying. I can't imagine, for the really young kids, that it would be that interesting...and that's not a commentary on you, just the subject of the tour at hand. Steel sounds like he was a hoot. I hope you get more kids like him on tours. :)

WOOT on the book! I'm hoping for the following week, for mine!! :)

haven't talked Idol in public.

love paul mcdonald. don't think he's going to last. i think paul, jacob, scotty (love him, i can't help it) and pia could walk off the show right now into album contracts. thia, haley and naima can leave. which last week, thia and naima left. stefano can go, too. adios. everyone loves casey ... i'm just not there, i guess.

to me, the two finalists should (will?) be lauren and james.

don't get me wrong. i LOVE paul. but i just think someone should just give him an album and let him do his thing. (who am i missing?)

Melisa! It's interesting but really, I've been getting a lot of kids and I do believe it is my job as tour guide to figuring out a way it can be fun for them too. I'm glad I met Steel, he really showed me that the pedway can be fun for all ages. But yeah, I think anything over 8 I can handle.

Dgold, funny, you and I don't usually have the same tastes!

Smuss, I agree. Paul is never going to win. But that's a good thing!

I'm tired of Pia.
