What a weekend

Oh I'm just so pleased.

We had the most perfect 4th of July ever. You know, I really love the 4th of July, really love it. It's hard sometimes when you're married to me, because, well, since I love the 4th of July it can be hard to live up to my expectations of what this perfect summer holiday is supposed to be about.

But this year man, with the weather and the work and the friends and the having of some fun money, oh man, it just made it so great. You know, we've moved on to other things in the house than the pain that was last summer. But when I get frustrated about anything now, I remember how hard that was, how sad John and I were, how no matter what happens from here on in we've already had a summer that is a bajillion times better than the last one.

I'm thankful to have the friends I have, they're so fucking supportive of me and I of them. I truly want the best for all of them, if there is anything I can do to make that happen, I'm totes gonna do it.

It was just one of those weekends. I exercised hard, I played hard, I worked hard - that was fun, my work totally mixed into my fun, when does that happen? I mean, Saturday night I had to leave the party to go be on the radio...poor ME! On the 4th I gave a Second City tour...POOR ME! Today I'm working, puttering, writing, reading, copying emails - but it's so nice and peaceful.

Just a full and happy weekend. Happy birthday America, you saucy old minx.
