Exercise Update

It's been awhile since I talked about any kind of health/exercising going on, so here's whats what.

I've kept my weight off for over a year now, I weigh a little less than I did when we got home from Thailand a year ago, so I've obviously plateaued or found my "right weight" or whatever excuse comes next. I'm pretty happy with it though, just the fact that I've kept it off for so long pleases me, let's me know I have a real habit now and that I can throw away some of my "big girl jeans." Usually I hold on to those like Coach hangs on to Boston Rob, but not anymore. I feel pretty secure that my weight won't change dramatically in the next little bit.

So I'm still running, it's so nice to be back outside. I'm so tired of the damn treadmill, I just hate it. I don't run far and I don't run for long (because I'm a busy business owner DAMMIT) and then I come home and either do weights with a video or on alternate days I do a Pilates video. I've just recently started that every other day thing (and always take a day or two for rest) and have started noticing some maybe...abs? Maybe? They're covered in 40 year old fat, but they're there goddammit!

John got me the P90X but we need more stuff...chin up bar, more weights and bands and stuff. But I'm excited to start that if only for a change of pace.

I can't handle Jillian right now, for a multitude of reasons, so I switch off videos and try new ones and hopefully "confuse the muscles" enough to see some results.

The goal now is to be BUFF by Burningman in August (got my ticket!) and not have to drag around any extra hot weight while I'm out there.

Plus, summer is just enough incentive to get one Hixx off her butt.

Anyone have any good advice for getting past the plateau? Or good videos or anything?

Come to hip hop with me Wednesdays at 6:30. It is an hour and a half of super fun booty shaking. All levels. $15 a class, and I would treat you to your first one to see if you like it.

Erica, done and done. I'd love to! As long as you don't laugh at me. Are there other ladies there who aren't "dancers?"

Eh, who cares. I'll totally go! Maybe I treat you to a burger after? Or a drink!
