This too shall be passing

Why in my 38 years of life do I forget how quickly things can change? Why after studying Tolle, visiting a Buddhist country and repeatedly telling myself that "this too shall pass" do I forget that things can be horrible one day and on the up and up the next?

Well, whether I forget it or not, things are looking up around here.

I have a little something in the works that brightens my heart, John and I had our good State of the Union, I worked my ass off this morning to Jillian Michaels (she's the Biggest Loser trainer)and she was awesome, much better than any of the other On Demand workouts I've done.

I'm doing some writing for a piddly contest and its nice to have something specific to work on.

The part time job is going well.

After many months of having nothing going on, all of a sudden my schedule is filling up to where next week is going to be kind of crazy. I haven't had a crazy week in a long time and it feels really good.

So next time I start getting all worked up, can you guys just remind me that it won't always be like that? That's its not my natural state to be down in the dumps? That this too shall pass?

Thanks.

My Dad is about the most Zen person I know, and we have this conversation about once a year or so. And he wonders when I will learn.
And I always say, "But! But! This time might be different!"
So, I'll remind you if you'll remind me but I might argue with you until I'm proven otherwise. ;)

it really does seem to be one of the hardest lessons to learn huh? Yeesh, you'd think we'd get it by now.
