You know, it’s a pretty good Monday.

We had a really nice weekend this weekend. We went to a friend’s photography exhibit on Friday, they were awesome photographs, we bought one, this is what they looked like

…he’s focusing his pictures with an olde timey camera, and then taking the picture with a fancy digital camera. They are so cool, can’t wait until we get ours! How fun to support local artists!
Then we went to Glenn’s and had awesome dinner.

Here's Ian's website if you want to look at more photography!

Saturday I met with 3 ladies and we took off like a banshee for Old Orchard to go dress shopping. It was such a perfect mixture of women, Dori helped me get through the stores lickety-split (“NO, there’s nothing here, we’re done), Wendy helped by being awesome (“Your boobs look awesome”) and Sabrina helped by trying on dresses with me (“how did I figure out how to put mine on if you can’t figure out how to put yours on?”). It was so fun, and I really tried to open up to some of the girly parts of this, so rare this foursome of ladies hangs together, it was just so fun, and so loving and so positive and John smooching and smiling at me from the doorway. These are the things about getting married that I really need to sink into and love, and my friends made it so much easier, and so fun, and yes, we went to the Cheesecake Factory!

Saturday night John and I stayed in, nice and quiet-like.

Yesterday was our Valentime’s Day, so after a visit to moms John and I had our first ever State of the Union about money, really getting into it, and it was nice and hopeful and fun, then we went to Calo’s for the most delicious dinner ever and home to watch Carrie, which held up perfectly.

It was a really fun weekend, certain scares seem to be over for me, everything is status quo for now. I feel good, going to spend this week concentrating hard on training for the 8K coming up in a few weeks, pulling myself together, reading and writing and Girlicious.

Could be worse.
