Moving Forward

Okay. I’ve calmed down a little bit from yesterday. The problem is definitely still a problem, but I have found a way to at least keep moving forward. Just keep going forward, right? Working on it.

Stream of consciousness Wednesdays…

Okay, this blew me away…Gordon Ramsay is 38 years old? WHAT? GORDON RAMSAY IS ONE YEAR OLDER THAN I AM! WHAT? How can that be? He looks at least 50, AT LEAST, (a very sexy 50, but still). It worries me…do I look at least 50? I will by the time this problem is solved. But last night on the BBC Kitchen Nightmares, not only do we get to see him taking off and putting on shirts, we got to see him with no pants on. Hee. Okay WAIT! I just double checked, dude was born in 1966, so not 38, but still, four years older? He seems physically and mentally at least 10 years older. Weird.

ANYWAY, wow…never thought I’d welcome the cold this much, but yeah…this feels awesome. Maybe it’s the new promise of marriage looming on the horizon, or that I’m getting older and tired of the heat, but I’m just so welcoming the “cozy” of fall and winter. I told my doggy this morning, after our chilly morning walk, and he’s all curled in a warm dog ball on the floor, that we were going to be the coziest household in America this winter. No book, no Apes, no tours, no nothing…we gonna cuddle and smooch in my house till we all can’t take it anymore…can’t wait.

My brother has started calling John my “Beyonce” which is just cracking every single one of us up.

Vegas is coming soon. Very soon. !!!!!!! (oh my gosh so excited I could pee a little)

Damages is too much for me to take. Not only did they make everything so complicated from the beginning, but amazingly enough, its tying up all its storylines in a realistic, well thought out way. There is nothing dangling so far, nothing that seems out of place, all the things that came up in the first episode are being explained in an extremely logical way. I really appreciate that. And it’s incredibly impressive, and last night I was yelling at the television on more than one occasion while watching.

ANTM makeover night tonight! Is it just everyone’s favorite night ever?

I’ve started shopping for clothes online because I hate shopping with a passion. I truly hate it. Really any store makes me uneasy, even book stores. So far its going really well, it might actually stick…I have some new clothes, a new winter coat coming, new winter boots, some wintry running clothes…its nice because I still don’t feel much like shopping, which will keep me in line as far as spending money on the internets goes, but I also feel like I’m taking care of myself a little bit. My winter coats and boots are a nightmare. So yeah…

That’s all I got.

Did you know that Martha Stewart's daughter is 42?! That's ridiculous! That means Martha is really old! I love me some Martha.

SOOO amped for the ANTM makeover episode. Several friends and I do our top picks every season--three picks and a wildcard pre-makeover, then three picks and a wildcard post-makeover. Have I mentioned this to you before? Anyway, if you want in, even on just the post-makeover bit, let me know!

Here's hoping Bianca goes bald tonight!

The weather seems to have people really divided right now, but I'm with you. I took a walk at lunchtime and just LOVED. IT.
Unfortunately, late Jan/early Feb I can't take Chicago weather any longer--but hey, then it makes us appreciate the summer, eh?

So Kate, who are your picks? I'm probably too late to join the game now! But that's okay, I'm pretty wrapped up in my Fantasy Survivor anyway.

I like the cold for now Wafelen, but yes, by February I'll be weeping into my fur-lined boots. No doubt about it.
