So, the problem with the book? Still really a problem, I think we’re going to have to push it back. I can’t believe it, but I’ve been repeating a few mantras to myself lately and these are them.
It is what it is
Whatever happens happens (same mantra, different phrasing)
And my new one is:
It’s not what happens, its how you handle it.
So, I’m done whining, I’m done complaining, I’m taking it as it comes and doing the best I can with what I have. Which includes:
I’m So Hot (Freezing!) Thursdays.
So yeah, I hadn’t been running in three weeks. THREE WEEKS. And of course, gained two pounds.
So Tuesday night I ran again and holy shit did it feel good. Delicious in fact. The cool air and the clearing of my head and it all just felt really great. So yay me, because I could have kept that running absence going for a long time, but I didn’t, I hopped back in, and so glad I did.
I got the whole Nike ipod+ thing and Tues night after my run I filled my new Nano with all my music, updated my itunes, did a bunch of stuff, got everything ready and then last night I took the stuff out to a track by my house to calibrate the thing. So yeah…I did what it told me to do, ran the mile on the track, looked down and saw that yeah…it can’t find the sensor…whoops. At least I ran the mile right? In the rain? And the cold? Right.
So the thing still can’t find the sensor, but I’m going to get a new one tonight, see what happens. But the nice thing is, the mile was easy, and I figure on my runs I must be running at least two miles, which is great.
So yeah, totally back into it, happy to be back into it and looking forward to getting out there with this Nike thing. I think I’m going to pick the male voice to tell me things; I don’t need some smart-ass chick telling me to run faster, that’s for sure.
