So okay, now that its over, can I just say one thing?

That puppet/stand up was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and taught me some things about myself.

I got really into my head about it, right away, as soon as I heard what it was going to be I thought “I can't do this, there’s no way I can do this” and no matter how hard I tried to talk myself out of that mindset, I never really did. That’s not to say I didn’t work hard on it, I did, because I didn’t want to disappoint myself, but there’s no doubt that my fear came into play on this one. I knocked myself instantly, made it way harder than it was, and therefore, screwed myself royally.

Stop that Hixx. Stop it!

But on the other hand, I’m glad I continued to work hard at it, in my in-my-head state, I did the very best job I could have done and whats more…I did it. I’m not going to lie, I’m incredibly relieved its over, and I’m MORE than happy with the scores I got, but yeah…I definitely made it harder on myself than it needed to be.

Lesson learned.

Next week? Storytelling. I am WAY stoked about this one. Very excited. Way more Hixx’s style to come up with a story than to put together a puppet.

This weekend is filled with fun and work and fun work, I have a tour tomorrow, lots of people are coming to see, my family and my handsome boyfriend (please let reiterate what a fabulous, supportive and amazing boyfriend I have, so lucky am I) and some friends will be there. My support system is astounding. Dinners and parties and writing and stories and television and the dog and nice days with sunshine, are all on the plate for this weekend.

Color me happy this fine Friday afternoon, and after that, I’m not coloring a damn thing.
