Mind is Spinning

Wow, what a weekend, me head is still spinning.

Let’s see, my brother is in town so we all headed out to Evanston to hang with mom and have some dinner, am I the only person in the world who doesn’t enjoy Panera? Just asking.

Saturday I ran outside (yip!), got back, took a quick shower and headed down for my tour. I had a bunch of friends (THANKS BECKY AND DORI) and my brothers and my handsome boyfriend, it was fun to have them on there, but it was slightly hard to see all their faces out there and not get derailed on whatever I was talking about. It was a great tour, lots of laughing people before I even opened my mouth, good sign.

We raced home from the tour to get ready for dinner with friends at Tango Sur. Am I the only person in the world who doesn’t enjoy Tango Sur? With an hour and a half wait and pink, no…RED meat when I asked for medium, I was fed up. Blech. My mashed potatoes were even gross, who screws up mashed potatoes?

Then off to a friend’s bday party (you looked fabulous! You know who you are) and that was a good time, lots of friends to see and music to hear. Then home, worn out by midnight.

Sunday I got up early to go to Hackney’s with mom and bro, then home to clean the house and work on Apes and other fun writing things, then about 7, John comes out with the best meal, we had:

1. Chicken club sandwiches in pita bread, um…yum?
2. Artichoke hearts roasted on the grill
3. Broccoli

And the coup d’etat, homemade macaroni and cheese that was so smooth and rich and delicious, I’ve been thinking about it all day.

We finished off the night with a little Entourage and a little Conchords (that Lord of the Rings song rocked it) and went to bed at 10:30.

The weekend was so full, with such great things and a little bit of work, I’m slightly tired from it, but know when I go home there is a clean house, a story to work on telling, and a warm dog waiting to give me sweet doggy kisses.

Life could be worse. Say hi to Buddy....

I don't get the Panera phenomenon. To me, it's just like Au Bon Pain with a shorter, easier-to-pronounce name.

Thank you Kate! I knew I couldn't be the only one.
