I'm So Hot Thursday (Apes edition)

It’s here, it’s here, it’s finally here!

Tonight is the first night of Impress These Apes! YAY!

Tonight, along with my seven other fellow contestants, I will be singing a three minute song of introduction and will be playing my “instrument” (no, that isn’t dirty, but lets say that that “instrument” is really the only instrument I know how to play, hee).

I am as ready as I can be, song is ready, instrument is ready, I am ready. It is time now to impress.

Honestly? I’ll be happy to not be singing this song in my head over and over! We’ll get our next assignment tonight, I can’t wait! Yeep! Please come to see Apes.

So, I’m So Hot Thursday!

Weight: 146.5
Running Stats: 4.6-4.7 for 40 minutes
Favorite Running Song This Week: Fly by Sugar Ray

Well well well, another pound and a half right? What is up with the Hixx man? It’s so great, feels good. I upped my running another 5 minutes, that can’t hurt.

In the interest of The Secret, it is becoming clearer and clearer to me that good begets good (I originally typed “Good begets food”, they call me Freud). The more I run, the longer I go, the faster I go, the less crap I eat. I’ve been finding lately I haven’t been feeling very well after I eat, I don’t know if this is a fun mind game my dieting subconscious is playing on me, or me growing older and acquiring a “sensitive” stomach, or what. But I find I’m eating less, and eating more of what’s good for me, to prevent me from feeling icky afterwards.

Certainly the salad blog doesn’t hurt; John and I eat salads all the time now for lunch, and most of them I don’t like…so yeah…definitely helps.

BUT! I want to tell you all that convinced me to, that I ran outside! And OH MY GOD, it was HORRIBLE! HA! Take that all you nature freaks! It was pretty hard, honestly. I do see it as something to get used to rather than something I can’t do, and I do plan to run outside at least once a week because it’s obviously using a whole different set of muscles. But BLECH. I was so hot, so so so hot. The pavement is damn hard, not nice and cushy like my treadmill! I ran for maybe 20 minutes with spurts of walking in between, short spurts, but spurts. And outside doesn’t have this nifty little fan that you can turn on high or low! Who knew?

But I do eventually want to run a 5K, and you can’t run a 5K on a treadmill. So I’m going to have to get used to outside running. But man oh man do I love my cushy treadmill!

So, I’ll keep workin’ it.

I’ll up my speed next week, keep the run at 40 minutes, and just keep moving forward. Something is working, and it feels good.

All around the world, statues crumble for me….

APES!

have you ever seen the video for that song? it's hilarious and always makes me do the "mark mcgrath." he just does this weird low crouching, hand jabbing at an angle dance.

it makes me want to fly.

I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE the salad daze blog. I can't ever leave a comment there because I don't have a blogger account.
I'm eating a Quizno's salad right now after reading that they've improved a bit. :)

Smuss, I do that dance on the treadmill!

Wafelenbak, the salad blog will be back soon! We've just both been so busy lately. But I'm glad you like it! Quizno's seems to be hit or miss these days.
