YAY! We did it, the contestants on Impress These Apes impressed them to the best of our ability, and I think we all did really well.
I was quite happy with mine. You know, when I worked on that song for a month, by yesterday I was sure it wasn’t funny at all. I wasn’t going for funny anyway, I was going for cute, but I got a couple of good laughs, am tied for third, and am raring to go for next week. You can check out my song here:
Our assignment for next Thursday (less than a week now!) is to re-enact a scene from our favorite movie, and to be as precise as possible. We are also allowed to bring one person with us to assist. Sabrina and I already know which scene we’re doing, the DVD of said movie is in my backpack and we’re ready to go. She really is a great friend, I didn’t have to ask her to help me, she volunteered.
Also, a shout out to my friend Dori, who organized a great group of people to come watch us all impress apes, if you’re ever in any kind of bind, Dori is the one you want on your side, TRUST me.
It was a ton of fun and I love pushing one thing out of the way and working on a new one. Great fun.
So, my weekend is nice, maybe a quiet night tonight, a bike ride out to moms tomorrow, a friend’s show tomorrow night, and I give a tour on Sunday and Sabrina is bringing her parents, my first guests! Should be a riot.
And just so you know (if you’ve watched my song, you’ll get it), I’m taking them to Blackies for cheeseburgers after the tour. You better believe it. I ain’t no liar!
Happy Friday all!
