I really expected something different from what I heard about this book. I was thinking Marquez, or Kundera, something intense and deep. This is The Secret meets Blood Meridian meets Oh The Places You'll Go. Bah! Has anyone else read this book?

I was struggling today, just a tad, with who our Kinda Hot Wednesday entrant would be. But a little bird (a VERY handsome little bird) gave me a suggestion that seems to work quite well.

Nigel Barker!
Nigel by far is the most normal of the judges on America’s Next Top Model. He’s like the everyman that we can all relate to when Ms. Jay and Tyra are losing their minds. We discussed over the weekend whether Nigel is gay, and he is not (I believe he’s married? And kids? Not that THAT proves you’re not gay, but still).
He’s pretty cool though, he seems to work well with the models, he has a sense of humor, he takes pretty pictures and I usually appreciate his opinion of most of the ladies.
Yet…he’s not quite hot hot. Maybe its his shaved head, maybe its that he’s British, maybe its that he has the same problem a lot of our entrants have had lately (he seriously cannot take a pic while smiling), but there’s something about him that’s holding him back from totally hot.
Either way, I’m a fan of Nigel’s, welcome to Kinda Hot Wednesday NIGEL!

Kind of curious -- is the word 'shite' in your post intentional?
Yes it is! In many instances, it is a better word than its shorter counterpart. Less...invasive. So I can still swear, but it sounds classy.
I have an ex I refer to as a cunte - same thing.

I don't think Nigel is Kinda Hot, I think he's Hot Hot. But, I'm happy to be looking at pictures of him no matter what his hot rating is.
