Questioning

Things that I feel I have to teach the world:

Mies van der Rohe has a first name! It’s Ludwig, you know, just so you know. The way we docents say it all the time, it sounds like Mies is his first name, it isn’t.

Speaking of Mies, Donald Trump is a big fat butthead for putting up his building right in front of the IBM Building. Because heading west on the river from the lake, seeing that IBM building up there was the most striking thing ever. Now it’s dwarfed by Mr. Trump and his big blue glass.

I think architects hide under “Conceptualism” when they really don’t want to call their work “Postmodern” which seems to be a dirty word in architecture; even though those tend to be the buildings I love the most. Conceptualism is one aspect of a Postmodern building, so…they’re cheating!

Sometimes it’s just easier to call up and ask…and sometimes it’s also free.

The Alchemist by Paul Coelho is just a high minded Celestine Prophecy.

Finding the actual screenplay of Eddie and Cruisers is a lot harder than you might imagine.

Things I feel I have to learn from the world

What the hell is going on on Heroes? I just watch it now, I’m confused and don’t have any idea what’s happening.

How to deal with my boobs on a hot day.

How do people run 26 miles at one time?

Why does my nose hurt like someone punched it in the middle of the night?

Why can’t I eat cheeseburgers for every meal?
