The Voice Inside My Head

Wow, re-reading it, I sound pretty horrible after yesterdays post huh? I’m not nearly as angry as I sound, I promise.

Which leads me to my blog entry today. How I sound. For my cool new project at work, I’ve had to start doing some interviews, so I bought myself a cute little voice recorder, and I feel so Woodward with it. Seriously, call me Scoop.

I’ve started to transcribe some of the interviews and naturally find the sound of my voice to be completely frightening. I’ve noticed some things:

I laugh, a lot. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad, but I’m constantly laughing at what the person says. I believe it’s a nervous reaction and it’s a little bizarre.

I say “perfect” a lot. “Oh yeah, that’d be perfect”, “oh yeah, if you could get me that, that’d be perfect” “Oh, you got me that? That’s perfect”. Blah.

Apparently I say “oh yeah” a lot too, blah again.

My favorite quote from myself was when we were walking around this office space, looking at all this neat hi-tech stuff and I said: “Hey, look at that big screen … you could use it … as a screen”

Brilliance. True brilliance.

Happy Friday everyone.
