Grandmother's House

Yup, here I am. The day after Christmas, blogging from work like I normally do.

The strange thing is, I’m oddly busy. Both with their work and my own. The day has zoomed by, and I haven’t even gotten to all the things I wanted to, both theirs and mine, so I guess it’s not a total waste that I’m here. As I seem to be busy.

BUT! Not busy enough to not post, so here we go. Call me double-negative girl. Alot of people do.

Christmas weekend started off with a drive up to John’s parents in Fremont Wisconsin. John’s sister Jeannie has a little girl, Lauren, who just turned two. So Christmas has become an event, and like they all say once we’re older, it takes a child to really love Christmas again. John’s family was so giving and so kind, I got all kinds of Christmas presents and clothes and warm things, it was really sweet they included me the way they did. And watching little Lauren (who is just a peanut) get all excited about presents and Santa was truly wonderful.

Here are some pics:

Here's Lauren pointing out Santa's handiwork:

The beauty of Christmas:

I love this:

According to Lauren, Remo's name is "NEMONEMONEMONEMO"

Here's a dog-wall from when we went to dinner at Ted's Supper Club:

And the greatest Wisconsin Christmas Lights pic ever, the John Deere tractor done up in lights:

More on the rest of our Christmas and our gifts tomorrow....
