So after a long drive home on Christmas Eve we stopped off to say hi to my mom and take Remo to see her. If there is one thing that lights up my mom’s face, it’s a doggy, any doggy, but especially her “grandchild”. Yes, that’s what she calls Remo, she’s desperate people, give her some breathing room. Remo got up on her bed and cuddled with her for the quickest of seconds, but it was all that was needed to make her smile. She was mostly calm and ready for Christmas.
Then John and I came home to our pretty apartment, lit all our candles and gave each other Christmas presents.
He got me tickets to see Wicked, which is wicked! I’ve been listening to the soundtrack for over a year now, each time it makes me cry, but have never seen it. I couldn’t see myself paying the price for tix, so it was nice that he did that.
Also, John got me Guitar Hero Two.
This picture of him playing is becoming almost archetypical in this day and age, on many blogs and websites, I see the exact same picture, but with someone else entirely. Guitar Hero is taking over the world and I’m glad to be a part of the revolution. We played until we couldn’t see straight and could barely hold up our instrument for star power. Good times.
Christmas day was pretty low key, some yummy food, funny conversation and a warm place for us to giggle.
Christmas night was even more Guitar Hero and a long night’s sleep.
Tuesday, well…that was yesterday and you can read all about it…yesterday.
New Year’s, here we come!

We got Guitar Hero II for Christmas, too! My sister-in-law's brother is one of the game designers and a friend's band has a song you can play along with, so it's especially neat! Brian's ego is already getting huge because, apparently, he rocks :)
Happy holidays!
YAY! John is actually really good. I can't keep up.
But for a girl, I'm pretty good too.
Hi Kate!
