Survivor Recap Friday

You know, this thing of these people acting like they’ve never seen Survivor before is driving me up a wall.

I can’t believe how many mistakes were made last night and how stupid they were about it.

Okay so, what happened last night, what did we learn?

We learned:

A. Candice is a bitch. Okay? I said it. I also wouldn’t be surprised if she makes it fairly far. Bitches tend to do that. Stepping off that mat was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.

B. Jonathan screwed himself for sure. He had a good thing going over there, and his pretend alliance with bitchy Candice isn’t going to hold up over there on NPT (no personality team). They hate him already, he’s a mess.

C. Yul and Becky continue to be the best alliance ever.

D. Ozzy.

E. Never, EVER leave a team that Ozzy is on. Now this might sound contradictory to what I said before, about kicking Ozzy off. But there is a big difference from kicking Ozzy of your team, and leaving a team that Ozzy is on. Duh. They’re obviously going to win reward and immunity, because Ozzy is monkeyman. So freaking stupid.

F. Jeff Probst continues to be the world’s best host, calling out Jonathan in the reward challenge and how much he was bugging poor Jonathan trying to row the stupid boat.

I really liked that they mixed all the pics together for the reward so everyone looked at everyone else’s family. That was neat.

I’m surprised that the “whiteys” are the only ones holding on to the original race alliance. Obviously the Hispanics don’t care, the Asians don’t care and the Black people don’t care.

And I also like the seasons of Survivor when the alliances don’t hold up very well. There haven’t been that many “true” alliances this season(‘cept for Becky and Yul) and I love watching everyone switch all the time, back and forth. Alliances can be deadly (Jonathan and Candice) or they can be essential (Boston Rob and Ambah), so I like that you never really know.

And that my friends, is the beauty of Survivor. It changes, constantly; the game remains the same, but how to play it changes every season. (Except for stupid decisions like ditching your original team with Ozzy the Winner on it to go be with the new one, stupid).
