Things to Think About

I just talked to John on the phone, he told me he would read my blog to find out what I was thinking about today.

So here goes:

I’m thinking about how I’ve gained weight since I stopped going to the gym (SURPRISE!) and how it seems almost impossible because all I do in the world is walk. I walk, walk, walk all the time. It’s all I ever do. Walk the 15 minutes to the train, 15 minutes back home, walk Remo after work, walk Remo again, walk Remo first thing in the morning and walk some more. Stupid weight. Really I should be saying, stupid chocolate and cheeseburgers.

I’m thinking about Barack Obama cause I’m reading his book. I love him. Remember when he told nasty Allan Keyes that he wasn’t trying to get elected to Minister of Illinois? Remember that? So funny.

I’m thinking about a writing class I’m taking. We’re all reading each other’s personal essays. This is a continuing education course and its fascinating to me to read about everyone else’s lives. To see the difference in writing styles, to hear other people’s stories, and to compare mine to theirs.

I’m thinking about how I need to pay closer attention to how I look, just cause I have a hot boyfriend doesn’t mean I can be lax. I’ve always been lax though, it’s partly who I am.

So therefore I’m thinking that the cute boots I’m wearing today hurt my feet, and why everyone notices when I’m wearing cute boots, because I never do.

I’m thinking about how I’m trying to take on more responsibility at work and how scary that is. I’m not friends with responsibility and it makes me nervous.

I’m thinking about my doggie, and how sweet he is and his little black face.

I’m thinking about the vacation John and I are planning. A real vacation. In the 3 years we’ve been together we’ve gone to Vegas for a couple of days, but never on a REAL vacation. Well…we’re going on one in Feb. And it’s going to be awesome.

And finally, I’m thinking about tomorrow, because of all the good television that’s on.
