We're Gonna Party Like It's 1995

John and I are getting ready to move. We’re being pro-active, packing early and trying to be organized.

Last night I packed up most of my bookcase (free books anyone? I have a ton) and I was leafing through one of my journals from 1995.

John asked me to read him just a little of some of my ramblings. I honestly couldn’t find anything even halfway interesting for him to hear. It was mostly heartache over an old boyfriend, Tom (I mean “ex boyfriend”, he was older, but not OLD).

But then I found a New Years resolutions list and I figured that it would be pretty interesting, so I read it and it went something like this:

1. I promise not to be so obnoxious anymore, drunk, sober, or otherwise.
2. I promise to quit smoking
3. I promise to be 60% fit by May 1st
4. I promise to decide what to do about Tom.
5. I promise not to lie to anyone about anything anymore.
6. I promise to figure out what I’m going to do with my life.

John said “well, at least you figured out what to do about Tom”.

Huh.
