I woke up this morning and first thought:
It’s Friday.
My second thought was:
What was Ozzie thinking?
My third thought was:
What was Billy thinking? OH MY LORD WHAT WAS BILLY THINKING?
And so begins my new, by request, Survivor wrap up.
I think maybe only once before have I seen a team throw a challenge to rid themselves of an undesirable. I haven’t seen Jeff that mad since Osten quit. Now granted, Billy really is an undesirable, we’ll go into that more later, but, it’s way to early in the game for the Latinos/Hispanics to purposely lose a challenge. Especially a reward AND immunity challenge mixed into one.
Before I go into the oddest thing that’s happened on Survivor since Johnny Fairplay told everyone his grandmother died when she didn’t, just so he could get his friend for a night, please allow me to toot my horn.
Toot.
I picked Yul as my MVP on Fantasysurvivor.net and I’m totally stoked. Granted, I think finding the Exile Island Immunity Idol is just a little too easy (on the 2nd try? And didn’t Terry get it on his 3rd try last year?), I’m totally happy Yul got it. He’s a force anyway, and I am going to win my fantasy survivor, and people are going to kiss me.
Now. Billy.
What can I say even?
I thought maybe at first he was going to pull through. That he was going to successfully switch things around on Ozzie, who after suggesting throwing the challenge, was ripe for ousting. You’ve gotta be really desperate to throw a challenge and I think the ladies were really close to getting rid of him, just for that alone.
But then. The unthinkable. Billy tells us he’s in love. That his prize for Survivor isn’t the million dollars, but the love of…I dunno…Candace I think it was? Billy goes on to explain that they whispered “I love you” to each other across the way.
Was that we all saw? Is that what he was talking about? When he said he was on the chopping block and she says “well, we love you” and he looks at her, slightly cross-eyed, and says it back?
I thought Jeff’s head was going to explode.
Yeesh.
At that moment, that fine moment in Survivor history, Billy was ousted from Survivor. No matter what Ozzie did or said.
The tribe has spoken. And they have said that Billy is out and out bat-shit crazy.
