Tooth and Nail

First off, pardon my half page, I’m working on something and I got it halfway, but can’t finish!

Like most of the men I’ve dated.

Booya!

Second off, this is the coolest news ever. I can’t wait, and hope that I live long enough to actually see this come to fruition.

Third off, and I hate to do this, because I’ve been yapping incessantly and I happen to know the man I live with is sick and tired of hearing about it, but allow me one more transgression:

I’m getting a tooth pulled tomorrow.

Now this should cause some anxiety and pain, but probably not as much as I think, which is maybe part of the reason why I’m making a big deal about it. That way, when I feel fine Saturday morning (which just can’t be, they’re yanking BONE out of SKULL), I’ll call myself a silly goose and be done with it.

But I’ve had enough mouth pain in my time, that when anyone/dentist/someone tells me it’s only going to hurt for “a few days tops” that means a week. And since my mouth is such a nightmare to begin with, I have full knowledge about how much this stuff hurts.

So here’s my plan:

1. Go to Micky D’s first thing and get some kind of horrible breakfast sandwich and eat it! So as not to be hungry when they (hopefully) pump pain meds into me.

2. Go home and walk dog before novacain wears off, and hope that Remo has that uncanny dog-ability, when he knows that something is wrong with his mistress and doesn’t jump up and run ragged around the house.

3. Sit myself on the couch and get lost in the fantasy world of Laguna Beach, the first season. The new LB will be on tonight I believe, so that is something else to look forward to.

4. Read my new book I’m racing through, “The Ruins” by Scott Smith, who wrote “A Simple Plan”, one of my favorite guilty pleasure books of all time. I can see myself getting lost and finishing that sucker tomorrow afternoon.

5. Feel way better by Sunday and take my man to the Air & Water show.

Monday? Boom. Done.

At least I don’t have to get my fingers chopped off or something…right? RIGHT?
