MBC

Huh…well, would you look at that.

All of a sudden, I’m alone at my office.

One girl took off, said she had to go and would talk to us later. Huh.

Then the other lady I work with said she was doing the same thing. Huh.

So here I am, alone in my office, free to do as I please. I’ve done a little work, but I figure if they can just take off at noon, then I get a long lunch (Barnelli’s, YUM) and get to work on my personal stuff this afternoon. Done and done.

My friend Dori and I were talking about our favorite type of food.

After really thinking about it, I decided on Mexican.

Meat. Bread. Cheese.

These are the 3 things I love most in the world. And if you put them together, in any way, shape or form, I’m pleased.

So, obviously, my love of cheeseburgers fits in quite well here. I’m also not big on condiments, every once in awhile I’ll put mustard and ketchup on my burger, or an onion or some such, but usually I stick to Meat. Bread. Cheese.

I like Thai food, but it only really fills one or maybe two of my three requirements. The Thai and our Asian friends aren’t big on the dairy, so cheese is usually out. And if you get bread at all, it’s usually very thin and I have to wrap something in it. I’m quite spastic, so wrapping meat with no cheese in thin bread confuses me.

Indian food? Burp.

Italian food, I like Italian. If you count pasta as a bread it comes close to what I’m looking for, but it always feels too froo froo for me. So I don’t eat it much.

Which brings us to Mexican food. Meat. Bread. Cheese. In a number of different ways. Tacos, burritos, hell…even taco salads, beef, chicken, and then you can add the beauty of guac, and one of my favorite dairy products, the sour cream. They’re not afraid of cow-juice and I respect that.

So if you ever want to take me to dinner, because I’m pretty or fabulous or something, take me to your favorite Mexican place and watch me, just watch me go.

Meat. Bread. Cheese.
