This week went by fast, and I ain’t complaining.
We have a nice weekend planned this week. Tonight we get a fancy picnic basket and head over to the Sondheim concert for the evening. I’m not sure John’s peeing in his pants to go, but I am. As we have learned before, my mother passed on a love of Sondheim’s music to her daughter. And now, with the addition of my mom’s stroke and the hard times we’ve had, Sondheim takes me back to a brighter time. His music and lyrics are un-simple, for lack of a better term. They make me laugh and cry, and sitting in my favorite park in all the world, listening to my favorite music, with my favorite man and some delicious food, is just about the best thing ever. Even if it is as hot as underpants outside.
Then tomorrow morning we leave bright and early for Wisconsin, for a party in John’s dads honor. We’re taking our pup, and getting to watch him play in REAL woods, is going to be pretty fun.
Sunday night after we get back is our next game in D&D. All in all, it could be worse.
