YAY!
I officially had the best weekend ever.
Friday I got off early and headed over to Borders to get the dvd’s of the “Dog Whisperer”. John and I read Cesar pretty early, and have been using a lot of his techniques. Yes, he has a court case against him, but after reading his book and then seeing the dvd’s, whatever happened with that dog had nothing to do with Cesar! I realize some of his tactics are odd, but so are everyone elses. I think he’s amazing and to watch him literally change problem dogs in a matter of minutes is astounding. So we watched and watched and ate bad Chinese and watched some more, it was great.
Saturday I had my first teeth cleaning in probably 15 years. Seriously. I was so scared, and all for naught. I’m going to have to get at least 2 teeth pulled, but I love my new dentist who is watching out and taking good care of me. I then gave a small modern skyscrapers tour, and it was just the most beautiful day for it. My main problem there was a tightly wound, older, solo, bitter, annoying woman who would talk about each building before we got there, just in case after 3 months of schooling I didn’t know what I was talking about. She drove me nuts and argued with everything I said, even if there was nothing to argue about. She asked me to show her where Mies “copies” were not as beautiful as what he’d done, as we passed some and I showed her the difference, she looked perplexed and confused, as if I were showing her dog poop and referencing Mies. BAH!
Then John and I met and went to Hackney’s and the book fair. It was neat, but I couldn’t even really get started at the book fair, it was too much, like a kid in a candy shop.
Saturday night John had a funny show and we headed to the Town Hall with a disparate yet hilarious group of people, and had a grand old time there.
yesterday we hung out with pup, sat outside, ate bagel sandwiches and then took off for a forever walk, all through the city, to the beach, to the Jewel for the fixings of the “A Game” BLT that John made once we were home.
Such a great weekend.
My boyfriend and my dog are the best things in the world. Hands down. Get up on them, (not literally, paws of my man ladies).
