Welcome home

Well well and well.

And you thought I was going to write about rape bathrooms today.

But I’m not going to.

Because in this crazy, topsy-turvyiest of worlds we live in, things happen. You’re sleeping, you wake up, you go to work, the day is the same as any other.

But not this day. This day is unlike all others.

Wanna know why?

A baby.

There’s a new baby today. There was no new baby yesterday, but today, there is a tiny baby living and breathing and crying and loving.

My friend Dan Izzo and his lovely wife Triscuit have had a baby. (It’s also Dan’s birthday today, imagine that).

I’ve had few babies in my life. My brother has two beautiful children, Grace and Jack. But no one else in my family copulates enough to produce more children.

My friends are all stunted by improv and vodka (please see yesterday’s post) and really, this is one of the first friend babies I’ve had.

There’s something about it that makes the world extra special today. That today is different from the same old Tuesday it would have been.

Today, something amazing happened.

Can’t wait to meet you little muffin, Auntie Magster is coming….
