Weekendupdate

Ah, Monday.

Okay, so the weekend.

First off, we went to see MI3 on Friday and … not so good. I loved the first one, liked the second one, and was kinda bored by the 3rd and way more let down by JJ Abrams than I was Mr. Cruise.

I enjoy Mr. Cruise, I find him highly entertaining and Jerry McGuire is the most brilliant movie ever, so, it wasn’t him. But where were the disguises? The big plan to break into so-and-so? Emilio Estevez dying in the elevator (or..on the elevator). I liked the references not only to previous MI’s but also previous Cruises, but all in all, for a man to make a spy TV show for 5 years, 2 of which were good, I expected better. Shame on you JJ, make it up to me with Lost.

Saturday John went to Wisco and I spent the day and night with the dog, it was just lovely. We took long walks and ate chocolate (not him, me). We watched movies and stupid tv. Sunday, more walks, more tv, and a dose of cleaning the house.

I miss my sweet dog today, after really spending the weekend with him, I miss his little face and his warm little tummy. Today is his six week anniversary with us and I’m fascinated by my love for him. It’s weird, it’s not all encompassing and I love him more than anything, but find that I’m still getting to know him, and him us. I whisper in his ear that I will protect him forever, and that now, is the overriding feeling. That I will never hurt him, and will always make sure he’s okay. But that my love for him is growing as I get to know him better and can see the bigger picture, of just how much I will love him in the future.

That being said, if the little fucker doesn’t stop jumping….

You and I should never go see movies together. We always disagree. MI3 was waaaayyyy better than 2. It was everything you could ask for in an MI film. Outrageous stunts, an evil, evil vision, boy toys. Less stupid posing than in MI2.
