Bill Gates, you rascal

This poor woman I sort of work with. Sigh.

She actually works upstairs for a totally different company, but I see her a lot, I might as well work with her.

She’s maybe…45…an African-American friend, a bigger lady, and apparently, gullible.

There’s been giggling in the office all day due to a mistake on this fine lady’s part. And it’s the kind of thing I can’t get out of my mind, I feel so badly for her.

So,this woman sends out the Microsoft spam email, the one where they’re doing “beta” testing and Bill Gates will send you $100.00 or whatever, for every person you send an email too.

So she did. She sent it to EVERYONE. She sent it to all her personal contacts, to all her business’ contacts, all of her business’ contacts contacts, and the list goes on.

About 5 minutes later the poor lady sends out a retraction, apologizing for sending the first one.

This is the kind of thing that makes me feel so horrible for people. She must feel ridiculous, I know I would. I would want to run home, cry, hide and never talk to anyone again. Although another girl in my office said she didn’t think it affected this particular lady to that degree.

Ugh, it just gives me the shivers to think about it, so glad it wasn’t me.

And don’t even get me started on why she fell for it in the first place. I mean, this one was good, pretty good anyway, I think a lot of regular people fell for it.
