Happier Days

Well, John seemed disturbed by my rape bathroom post from yesterday. I don’t blame him. It did sort of say the word a lot, and after the baby post, and ugh. Still, ladies know what I’m talking about, I’m sure of it.

The past few days have been, fascinating. Slow and fast, boring and interesting, life affirming and life giggling at me in the face.

I’ve received a couple of review copies of books. Out of all the things I’m learning and doing, receiving a book with a press release, addressed to me, the reviewer, is just the most awesome feeling.

Then today I got an offer from the Architecture Foundation for pre-screening tix to the new Keanu/Bullock movie. I saw Sandra filming this in the Santa Fe Building and it’s supposed to be kind of architecture-y, so…we’re going!

Free books! Free movie tickets! It pays to know me people, it pays. Plus, John gets free ice cream where he’s working. What more do we need people?

I’ve posted 3 times to Chicagoist this week, and with a few minor exceptions, these are by far my best posts. I don’t know if its because I’ve had more time, or cared about the subject matter, or what. But it feels really nice to feel confident when I hit “post” instead of fearful.

And I’m thankful tv is over. I truly am. Glad Taylor won, glad Harold won, glad Jack got captured by the Chinese and glad that I can now have my life back.

But what am I going to do with all this free time? I can already feel the wear and tear of having not so much to do. Although, when I think about it, I have a lot that I do.

See? Best of times, worst of times.

Little Olive Cat! Thank you for the reminder.

Men rape because they can't get any better.

Just kidding, I kid.

Not about sex kids, its about power.
