An ode to Spring:
OH MY GOD THANK GOD ITS SPRING I CAN”T BELIEVE HOW DIFFERENT IT IS OUTSIDE. HOW GOOD IT SMELLS AND HOW PRETTY IT IS.
That’s it.
Seriously though, doesn’t it just change everything? Doesn’t it make the world a little better? Isn’t it as though the cool universe is here? And we’re all living in it? DOESN’T IT?
Man, I cannot tell you what this weather does for my mental state. Like all Chicagoans, I wonder how much longer I can take the weather. How happy warmth makes me and maybe I should live in it all the time.
But then that means you never get a day like this. This day filled with relief that the world is going to go on. That everything is okay. The relief off your shoulders. And I would miss that, I truly would.
Anyway, John and I are planning a long walk home from downtown tonight, and we’re looking for a puppy on Saturday. I’m still concerned neither one of us knows how to train the dog, but lots of people get dogs without knowing how to train them right? Right. (Izz, I’ll be giving you a call, you have the best cart-trained dog I’ve ever seen). You learn what you need to learn as you go, and I can’t think of two people more ready to learn and more ready to love a pup.
The other thing spring brings is the desire to look good in shorts and a tshirt, so I’m doing everything I’m supposed to, always taking the stairs, bathroom counter pushups (do you do this? Do it, every time you go to the bathroom, do 10 half pushups using the counter) and going to the gym, watching what I eat (no fries in 5 days, seriously, that’s huge for me, my biggest battle, the French Fry) (and apparently, parenthesis).
I feel so much better. I really do. Can it just be the sunshine and the warmth? Yes. Absolutely. It can be.

Thanks Danno!
We'll definitely do classes. Also, I think we're going to go with an "older" dog, not a puppy puppy, cause we just don't have the time to train.
YAY! So pretty. Tongue kiss Harp for me!
