Free things. Things that are free. Free stuff.
Know what else I like? That being a contributor at Chicagoist is getting me free things! I now have publishers and what-not offering to send me free stuff. After checking with my editor (that’s right, I just said that “my editor”) I was told to go ahead and accept offers of free books if I want them. To not feel obligated to write about them, but especially if they’re local writers and books, to go right the fuck ahead, and take them.
And take them I shall.
I also just rsvp’d for an event in April. Some new book something or other, it’s totally awesome.
I am swimming in masses of information, blogs and books right now. Trying to learn everything I can about the local community here, who everyone hates, who everyone likes, etc. It’s hard work, but oh my god. I love it.
How’s that for the cool universe?

I'm not sure why but this site is loading very slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a problem on my end? I'll check back later on and see
