Reader

Whoa whoa whoa.

Hold up everyone.

When did it all become so busy? WHEN?

Last week, I had nothing to do, watching tv, taking care of John, reading Dracula. All of a sudden this week, I’m slammed. I’m writing, performing this weekend, have to rehearse for it, casting something else, taking care of some mom stuff…when did it all get nuts?

Know what? S’okay. Cause this was what this was all about. My winter months were to be quiet, easy, full of the couch and drinks. Once spring came, everything was to change and my life and my creativity was to come back in full force.

So I’m taking it as a good sign that spring is coming.

I’ve been thinking about my blog and realized two things:

1. I have a literal “blogspot”. It’s at the corner of Racine and Cornelia and it’s on my way to the Playground theater. Friday nights, if I’m headed that way, I’m usually walking alone, thinking, really walking mediation. And every time I hit this point, I’m thinking of my blog and what I should write. I tend to forget what I think there, but I usually come up with some great ideas. Then of course, forget.

2. I was thinking about who I write my blog for. Not literally, but they usually say that you’re writing to someone, your mom, your best friend, whoever. And I think I write to everyone I know that reads this. Sometimes its for Higgins, or my brother James, or Izzo, or Chid or Erica or Megan or whoever. I don’t have a specific person in mind, it’s kinda like I’m talking to everyone…I don’t know, just interesting I’m not attacking this from a real specific point of view.

Maybe as a weird test, I’ll start writing picturing the reader as someone specific.

And then you can all guess who it is I’m writing to.

Then I’ll give whoever gets it right a cookie.

Or a joint.

Or a martini.

Depending on which one it is.
