Check it everyone!
"Thanks for your posts over the last couple of weeks. We really enjoyed the topics you covered and thought you turned in some great work.
If you're still interested, we'd like you to become part of the Chicagoist staff. You'd be brought on as our Books writer."
Yip! I did it. And I even made some HUGE blunders on the last story I wrote. Learned that little journalistic lesson, but they asked me anyway! I'm proud, I'm happy for myself and very excited. I love Chicagoist and am happy to be a part of it.
The weekend however, was a little rough. John got the flu. Never seen John with the flu and it was scary. It felt nice to be Ms. Nightengale to his wounded soldier, but I was truly worried for awhile as he practically lit the bed on fire (which he always does, but this time I mean with fever). He's much better now, but I seem to have a weird ache in my back. Very uncomfortable, flu? Maybe.
We watched Grizzly Man, which I enjoyed well enough. I always like to see about people that don't follow the mainstream, and this guy definitely did not. Other than that, we watched poop, because thats what was on this weekend.
So its a good day for me, I have something cool and new to work on and I already turned in my first two stories, just in case Mrs. Flu comes knocking on me door.
