Beaver Brown Band

Ahhh sweet Monday. How can it be one wonders, that a younger to middle aged woman would say, sweet Monday.

Well, when your Monday is really a Thursday because you have Wednesday off, it tends to make Mondays a lot more bearable.

Also, when your cute boyfriend who cuddled with you all yesterday is making lots of money today, well that helps too.

And when you, your boss and co-workers go out to lunch at a fancy restaurant for two hours and get free dessert because you had to wait, well…that makes Mondays better.

And when you learned that you have a little windfall of your own that will allow you to get that laptop you’ve been yearning over a year for, well…Monday it is my friends, Monday it is.

My weekend was great, two great parties, and two great meals at said parties.

And most importantly, besides seeing a whirlwind of old friends this weekend, something else very important happened folks:

I found myself a karaoke song.

Now let me tell you, I cannot sing. I can’t. I’m not TERRIBLE, but I’m not very good either. And I can’t sing to high and I can’t sing too low. But I loves me some karaoke. For awhile I was singing 76 Trombones from the Music Man, and although my choreography was nice, the singing was rotten.

I took my chance this weekend with “On the Darkside” from Eddie & The Cruisers, and I gotta tell you guys, this was the tops. This was emotional, this was.. bell grande. (Higgins, you made me less afraid of this song).

So all in all a very productive and fun weekend. My Art Deco tour went well, great group of people and a lovely day. Yesterday was lazy and sweet.

Probably one of the best Mondays ever.

You gotta have a karaoke song. It just makes a person feel whole. I'm glad you finally found yours.
