Reliance

I don't like Mondays

Tell me why...

It's actually not that bad of a Monday as far as Monday's go. For my poor little blog it might be lonely however, as I have not much to write.

I've still been doing my reading deprivation and its fascinating. To ride the train, without reading and just looking out the window, to go to lunch and not race cause I want to get in as much reading as I can. It's actually all a little bizarre.

Today instead of my maniacal reading I took a long walk around the Loop. I went to Daley Plaza where they have all the Halloween stuff up and there's crazy actors doing crazy things for the kids.

Then I walked by the Reliance Building on State and Washington because I have my interview tonight to be a docent at the architecture foundation and I have to talk about my favorite building, and that's the one. So I went and took an extra look. It really is the prettiest building.

So it was nice to take a long walk, to not notice how long it took to get my lunch, to just look at people and think about my crazy story I'm going to write.

If you're a reading addict I recommend not reading for a bit. It gives your mind some quiet time and a chance to really look around.

I miss my Chicago friends and stories though, they'll be back soon I promise. That's what all of this is for.

Oh, and don't go see The Grudge, or at least don't go on a Saturday at 9:30, I don't even think I heard the movie or know what it's about, but I could tell you some awesome "screentalking'" jokes.
