So, before we get started with ISHT, I want to tell you all about a long lost friend of mine who just recently came back into town. I really love this friend; I’ve missed this friend and am extremely glad this friend is back.
Who is this friend you ask? This friend is 146.
HEYO, BOOYA, BRING IT DOWN YO.
Yup, the Hixx is finally starting to shed the poundage. I think that is due to a variety of things.
I’m focusing more on my strength training stuff, Dr. Oz always said you won’t lose weight without it, so…I’ve been really trying to keep up with it, plus, I want to be strong like bull.
Summer…just more active, that’s all there is to it.
Obama getting the nomination…Kidding.
It’s my fourth day of no meat!
Yup, my fourth day of no meat of any kind. And I’m really doing pretty well! I haven’t found myself wanting it necessarily, mostly out of convenience, like today it would have been much easier to get a potbelly chicken salad sandwich than the crappy salad I got, but other than that, its been pretty good!I definitely find that I’m eating much better because of it. I have my greek yogurt and strawberries for breakfast, usually a salad for lunch and then at dinner my body so desperately wants something plain…and carby. So I’ve been heading for Eggo Waffles. They’re delicious! Two of ‘em, just a smooch of butter and syrup… they’re 90 calories a piece and I like the way they taste so I don’t need much of the crappy stuff on ‘em and boom! It’s great! Or cereal, cereal for dinner is always good.
So I’m eating less for sure, and without meat, I seem to be having less carbs. Because there’s no “sandwich”, there’s no “hamburger with big white bun”, there’s no fries, or chips you know?
Again, I’m not planning on cutting meat out entirely, I have no problem with John’s beef touching my tomato (that sounded really dirty right?), he wants to make asparagus/crab soup and I think that sounds most delicious, but I do feel like I’m eating so much better without the meat. I just end up eating more veggies because it’s the quickest, easiest thing to eat!
John’s been working a lot, so I’ve been on my own for dinner, we haven’t exactly worked out how he’s going to eat and how I’m going to eat, but if we spend a few weeks figuring it out…we’ll manage.
So I like my experiment, seems to be working for me quite nicely, and I’m finding that with my love of cheese, there is still just so much for me to eat…yum.

organic asparagus & blue crab bisque actually.......
i keep meaning to comment on your shot at meatless living! good on you! i stopped eating red meat a couple years ago and have slowly been phasing out poultry this year. still eatin' fish when i can get it. it gets easier and easier to find good alternatives to meat, but my one suggestion is make sure you are getting your protein somewhere. personally, if i don't watch my protein & iron intake, i get a little crazy -- irrationally irritable and weepy. it's like PMS but it can happen any day of the month!! you might react differently, but it's still probably important to get that protein in. i love morningstar products! and beans, delicious beans. oh, and if you are super-craving a cheeseburger but don't want to eat the beef, johnny rocket's makes the best, closest to the real thing as you can get veggie burger. the grafton and the daily both have pretty good bean-based veggie burgers, too.
Oh yeah--the Morningstar "chicken" nuggets? NOM NOM NOM!
Way to go Hixx! Glad your changes are working out for ya. :)
Who wouldn't want to marry anonymous?
