Hey everyone, I’m really sorry but this is going to be another boring, me ranting blog entry.
PSYCHE!
No it isn’t, because we had the best weekend that was ever had by any two people ever. And nothing major major happened or anything, but we just got to enjoy ourselves and that was enough.
Friday night we went to dinner at The Grand Lux (I had a half a cheeseburger, yum!) then off to see Indy (boo!), then home and pretty much sound asleep.
On Saturdays, John gives Remo his morning walk and when he got back, I looked through our bedroom window slats and could see the sun shining, John told me it was beautiful outside and … well I just couldn’t stand it. So I got right up, told John I was headed to moms and went out and got on my bike for the best early morning bike ride to Evanston anyone has ever been on. So beautiful. I really think bike riding is one of the greatest things in the universe, you CRUISE, but it’s not hard, you’re exercising, but it does not feel like it. I love it.
Had a great visit with mom (she was loopy, so we had an awesome visit) and I rode my bike back to the city, singing Sweeney Todd as loudly as I could, which is funny when you’re singing “WE ALL DESERVE TO DIE, EVEN YOU MRS. LOVETT EVEN I!”, funny.
I then went to meet William J. Goldberg Goldman, my friend Dori’s new puppy. He’s a maltepoo and he is something else, he’s the size of a dime and has soft brown eyes, he made me cry. Then out to brunch with the ladies and a walk back to Andersonvillefest when a total stranger stopped his car to tell me that I’m intoxicatingly beautiful and can he take me to lunch….I kid you not. Good thing I have a big fat awesome diamond to flash in situations just like that.
Saturday night John had a show where he and his team kicked all kinds of hilarious ass and then out for drinks and friends and singing and laughing and eating veggie corn dogs which are delicious.
Yesterday we woke up late and I was mildly hung-over, yet went out for a run and came home and did my strength stuff, then John made delicious breakfast and he and I whipped our house into shape and kissed the dog, and then watched hours of Dexter, and then John made delicious, healthy dinner, then we watched more Dexter, laughed and …
Now it’s Monday.
What a fantastic weekend, I hope to have another one just like it.
