All in the timing

John and I just went to our first “catering” meeting for the wedding! It was fun! I’m starting to get into this I think, I’m not going to lie, there are parts that make my head spin and my tummy nauseous, but picking out food and discussing the food tasting, along with the cake tasting…well…that’s just fun.

Now all we have to do is save a bajillion more dollars and we’ll be all set!

Kidding…I actually think we’ll be okay.

I was thinking last night about my TV watching, my handsome, helpful, and ridiculously sexy beyonce was again accusing me of not loving a TV show that I indeed do love – Gossip Girl.

GG came back last Monday, all new episodes! I love Gossip Girl! But alas, I have not yet watched the Gossip Girl from last week, or now from last night, that means I have two (yay!) to watch. So John tells me that I don’t love GG because I haven’t watched right away, but John doesn’t understand that the thing is, Gossip Girl can be watched at anytime!

American Idol is the most time sensitive of all shows. If you (I) don’t watch it when its on, well…there’s really no point in watching, because you can’t discuss the very next day, and if you can’t discuss then there is no point.

Lost is also very time sensitive, as is Top Chef, and Battlestar Galactica…you can watch these later, but not much, otherwise you’ll miss out on much of the conversation or learn something you REALLY didn’t want to know (Starbuck blew up earth! Stephanie made out with Tom Coliccio!).

ANTM? You can let this one pass, but not for long, you have to kind of keep up on it, so as not to lose it completely. You can’t let more than one pile up, that’s for sure.

Survivor is rough, because *most* people could let it pass but not me. I like to make sure to give it the time it deserves, but I personally start to get uncomfortable if it goes too long past. Never in my life have I had two Survivor’s pile up on each other (Go Cerie!).

And Gossip Girl…well my love, you can stay in the Tivo as long as I need, and I can sit down, some Sunday afternoon, rain lightly tapping my windowsill, a cup of tea and a warm blanket around my toes, and I can do a veritable marathon of GG.

It is not that I don’t love you; it’s that I love and respect you enough to give you the time you need, if only we were all so lucky.

Not even funny with the Starbuck joke since I haven't seen last week's episode yet!
