My fashion sense is not…really there. Well that’s not true, I mean, I like to look at fashion (if it’s on gofugyourself) I like to watch Project Runway, I stare at fellow ladies to see what they’re wearing, but fashion is not really my thing.
I’ve been wearing the same thing for years…when I was single, I was a much “cuter” dresser than I am now. Now I like to think of myself as Jeff Goldblum in the Fly and that I’m just too intellectual to take mental time to worry about dressing myself in the morning (but apparently I have plenty of mental time to catch the Crowned finale tonight).
So I’ll admit, I get my fashion cues about a year after every one else does, and my main philosophy is just to watch the trixies, see what they wear and then wear that. This is Chicago, this is how we do fashion here, there’s like…one lead trixie somewhere and the rest of us just follow her.
So, I did it, I gave in and got these:
Now, the cool (or rich) trixies get the actual Ugg boots, but not me, no way, I’m a cheap imitation-is-the-sincerest-form-of-flattery chick, I got me some BEARPAWS YO.
Really, the boots I have right now are great boots, they’re Lands End or some Maine-type boot, they’re big and clunky and have soles as thick is my middle, but they are not cute or fashionable in anyway.
So…I saw what every other woman in Chicago was wearing and got those.And I gotta tell you, they are COMFY. They are like putting little stuffed animal puppies on your feet. They’re like walking on stuffed animal puppy clouds. Rawr, I love them.
So thank you trixies, I appreciate it. Do you think you all could tell me what you’re going to be doing for spring/summer ’08? All my cute girly baseball shirts are starting to fray.

dude. i was walking around in my stupid payless boots the other day, and i thought .. 'man, i should just break down and get some uggs.'
and there are women who come into the office with uggs who take them off (it's all new age in here and we ask everyone to take off their shoes on the bamboo floor) and they don't even have any socks on! that's how smussy the inside must be!
yeah. i should get some.
Oh man, you could get these cheapy ones...they are way comfy. My feetsies are so warm right now!
