Updates!

Oh no! I broke myself!

Ack.

This weekend we ended up not going to Wisconsin, but stayed home and had a nice weekend together and man. I broke!

Friday night we went out and saw a friends show (very entertaining) and Saturday I went to see mom (she offered to have her psychiatrist come to the wedding and do salsa dancing, and got seriously angry with me when I told her that I didn’t think that was a good idea). Then John and I went with some friends to the Half Shell and shoved crab in our face, and then I think we came home and went to bed, but I was in such food coma… I don’t remember.

Sunday we were up early, I cleaned up a bunch and decided I wanted to do an easy run, so I thought I’d go out and see how it was to just run a mile as quickly as I could. Easy right? Now that I’m running 2.5 miles?

WRONG. I hurt myself! Whatever you’re seeing over to the right as the reenactment of my run is totally wrong, I started out way too fast, slowed down a lot, went back up, it was a mess, a total mess and it was only a mile!

Whatever muscle is in the back of my knees is KILLING me. So much for an easy run.

We also went grocery shopping, to breakfast and home again to watch a scary movie Nightwatcher(s?). It was GREAT in the beginning and kind of petered out, but it was what Constantine should have been and wasn’t. And this wasn’t quite either, but there were a couple of really great scenes, if you’re wanting an eerie movie in the next couple of weeks.

I also have my “lady friend” visiting (gross, sorry) and my uterus is bouncing against the inside of my stomach, and normally I wouldn’t talk about “lady things” but I need it to communicate to you all how seriously I am broken.

Broke.

Tonight I’m going to try to run, very softly and kindly and then I’m going to sit on the couch with the heating pad alternating between my tummy, my back and the backs of my knees, and watch Kristin Bell and see if she’s the savior of Heroes that everyone thinks she is.

Vegas.

Hey-I am waaaay behind on your blog cause I've been internetless kind of for a couple weeks, but I would advise to not run on your hurt knee. Fuzzy kept running when he hurt himself and it wasn't good--I say take a couple of days to let it heal and do some counterstretches to strengthen the muscles around it to support it. I'm not a PT or anything, but I don't want you to end up tearing anything. Ok, now I'll try to read what you've been doing for the last couple weeks. xoxoxo

Erica you sweet thing.

You know, I shouldn't have run last night, but its definitely a "muscle" not like "knee pain" you know what I mean? I will rest now. Promise.
