So not interesting today...

The only problem with a weekend like the one I just had is, there’s not going to be many more of them left!

Friday night Sabrina and I headed out for a friend’s party and some karaoke. We were um…early, and got into some good discussions and some serious games of computer bowling. We headed over to the Town Hall and met some peeps there, and then Sabrina and I took off again for the Pick Me Up, to have even more discussion, this one with a little more shmappy involved. It was fun, but Pick Me Up has changed their food a tad and the Hixx isn’t rolling with it, whatever that means.

Saturday John and I left the house once. Once. One time (this does not include doggie walking). We went to breakfast at Over Easy on 4900 something Damen and it was DELICIOUS. Oh my gosh. Go there.

Then back to the house for a day of puttering and working and TV and food and cookies and the dog and Friday Night Lights and all kinds of wonderful things. We knew right around 5PM we weren’t going anywhere. So nice, and our apartment is all pretty and Halloweeny and I can’t wait to get there again tonight!

Yesterday we were both a little cabin fevered, so we played a little Cribbage then went to meet Harp for lunch. Then Harp and I went to see Michael Clayton, which I read in my EW and The New Yorker was one of the greatest movies of the decade. Gush gush gush, you figure if The New Yorker AND Entertainment Weekly gush, well…it’s probably worth it.

Unfortunately, Sabrina and I couldn’t keep our eyes open long enough to tell.

Honestly…I mean, it was an okay movie…but by no means was it “GREAT!” It was quiet and thoughtful, well written, but also totally easy to figure out, no great mysteries, I read that it turns into a “thriller” about halfway through and I gotta tell you, I was waiting for the “thriller” until the screen went black. Much of the kudos were for the fact that it was quiet and well thought out, no CGI and stupid shit, but honestly? I love me some legal thrillers, I really do, it’s not hard to drag me in (hello Damages?) but this...ack…bored out of my mind.

So tonight I do my first real run with my Nike ipod thingy and I’m VERY excited. Lance Armstrong is going to tell me I’m hot as shit right?

I'm really really sorry we were late. I still feel awful. I sent out a text and email to everyone I could saying that our dinner was taking forever.

I am a bad hostess. :(

Oh my dear, trust me, I was poking fun at me and Sabrina more than anything.

Who arrives at Hidden Cove on time? No one!

Seriously, you're all good, I'm just sorry we had to cut out! Hope you guys had fun. You're a wonderful hostess and gave me some great wedding advice too! YAY!
