Having a hard time concentrating.
Okay, a couple of things, mostly TV related….
Someone said something to me once, and it still gets my goat, so I thought I’d try and vent it out and purge it, like a bad seafood meal.
Someone once said to me that they hated reality TV, that it’s ruining the world and its mindless drivel…but then went on to say that they do watch America’s Got Talent, and that they love it.
???
Can you say that? Can you? Can you say you HATE reality TV (all reality TV, that’s a big net these days) but then say…”except this one”? Which in my opinion is unwatchable really. I tried with America’s Got Talent, but even the consistent reality TV show watcher that I am, cannot watch that show. It’s boring. Its 13 year old girls that can sing and some guy throwing a lasso around.
Other ones I can’t watch?
1. Any of that “Flava of Love” stuff, after that woman pooped on the stairs, I’m done with it.
2. Big Brother. Don’t know why, won’t watch it.
3. The Inventor One. Can’t watch that either, but mostly because it’s too sad. All those inventor people are the nerds of our society and I cannot stand the look on their faces when they’re told they’re genius idea is a piece of crap.
4. Surreal Life. Just can’t.
5. The weight ones, the Bachelors, the Shaq show, Extreme Makeovers whether house or face…I mean, I can’t watch everything right?
But you can’t say you hate EVERYTHING and then pick one that you like. If you watch ONE REALITY show, you cannot say you hate them all. Okay? Okay.
Now…um….I don’t watch Age of Love because it really is offensive. But if I did watch it, I would be surprised that Mark kicked off Jayanna because he really seemed to like her. And if I did watch I would say that he TOTALLY fell for Amanda’s bitching about Jayanna and made a snap judgment. And again, if I did watch it, I would say that Maria is giving us “older” women kind of a bad name by pretending to be so wise when she’s really not. I would also say that I’m really glad Mary is gone and a prime example of just how freaky we all are at 20 whatever years old. And that Jen is a prime example of how we can all look great, act mature, and still be sexual at almost 50 years old.
Not that I watch it.
I hate reality TV.

Get ready for more of it. With impending actors and writers strikes thats all a network can produce.
Just like a couple years ago when there was the commercial actors strike and we got like 10000 commercials with puppets and shit.
everyone keeps stealing my posts. i have a draft of reality tv show posts in my list.
however to be relevant:
first flavor of love was pretty good. i didn't watch the second, although i heard about the girl shitting and i still can't believe it. the flavor of love charm school was a really good show. it was way better than i could have thought.
i didn't see most of the surreal lifes, but i watched the last two. oh well.
you know what is actually a decent show ... that scott baio is 45 and single. it's so much more real-life than i could have ever thought. his life coach sticks it to him.
anyway, i'll go on in my own post that's waiting for me in draft like about 15 others.
Yeah, the writers strike is going to give reality tv a bad name. Thats what sucks about that. Although...maybe some of it will be good?
And Smuss! I would love to read your post about reality TV, put it up!
And I need to Tivo that Scott Baio show. I want to see that. Yes.
