Everything I needed to know I learned from making a puppet:

1. Make sure you keep your receipts, you never know what you might be able to return

2. If you have the choice of pinning or sewing...pin

3. The puppet will be what the puppet is going to be, don’t force it

4. If you want your mouth to say something, give it a little bit of slack

5. Nylon is a stronger material than you might think

6. When in doubt, put a hat on it

7. Significant others are crucial to keeping your head about you

8. Significant others are crucial to keeping your puppets head on

9. There are all different types of glue in the world, if one doesn’t work, try another

10. Hug your puppet at least once a day
